The Georgia State Senator from District 22 in Augusta, Harold Jones, introduced SB 254 in the 2015-16 legislative session. This bill would have changed simple cannabis possession from a felony to a misdemeanor. Other proposed legislation would have facilitated the use of medical cannabis.
