The Central American Asylum-Seeker Crisis
PANEL DISCUSSION
WEDNESDAY April 3rd
4PM-5PM
USC, Gambrell Hall Room 431   USC Campus Map: https://www.sc.edu/visit/map/   Recommended parking: Pendleton St Garage or off Pendleton St.

We do not have a national security crisis on the border: we have a humanitarian crisis on the border as thousands of asylum-seekers from the Northern Triangle countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras head north to flee poverty and violence in their home countries.  This panel discussion will examine the push and the pull factors, including the history of US foreign policy in Central American and current US immigration policies.  Featuring Dr. Ben Roth, Dr. Debbie Billings, Luis Garcia, and Dr. Breanna Grace.  Free and open to the public. Facebook Event

Sponsored by the Carolina Peace Resource Center, Witness for Peace Southeast, the Consortium for Latino and Immigration Studies at USC, and the Walker Institute for Area Studies at USC
