Alternatives to Violence Program (AVP) Workshops

Offered for the first time in South Carolina, this three-day workshop introduces the concepts, principles and tools of nonviolent conflict resolution and Transforming Power.  Once a participant has completed the Basic Workshop, s/he is free to participate in the Advance Workshop  (Jan. 9-11, 2015) and the Training for Trainers Workshop (Feb. 6-8. 2015).  Recommended for students, social workers, law enforcement officers, community volunteers, teachers, or anyone interested in solving problems peacefully.

December workshop schedule: Friday 5:30 – 9 pm, Saturday 8 am – 9 pm, Sunday 12 noon – 5 pm.  Housing options available.

Deadline to Register: MONDAY Dec 1st.  Suggested registration donation $25, which includes 5 meals.  Scholarships available.
